Data security
To protect your stored files from unauthorised access, it combines password protection with hardware encryption. Once you set a password in the included software, you activate the integrated 256-bit AES hardware encryption, which encodes data directly on the drive. The entire encryption process takes place at the hardware level, so it doesn't burden your computer's system resources or affect transfer speeds.
Automatic backup
The included Acronis True Image for Western Digital software is used to set up regular backups. In the application, you define automatic schedules that save copies of selected files at specified intervals and strengthen security against ransomware attacks. The software thus protects important applications and your entire computer system.
