Dual camera system for a complete overview
The device combines two separate lenses to capture the entire area by the door. The main 5MP sensor, with a 1920×2560 resolution and a 100° viewing angle, captures visitors' faces at a frame rate of 30FPS. The secondary 8MP camera for packages, with a 66° viewing angle and a 3FPS frame rate, points down towards the ground. This system documents delivered parcels and identifies visitors from a single point, removing the need to install additional cameras on the wall.
Smart unlocking
The access system supports several contactless identity verification methods for quick entry into the building. Users can unlock the door using the mobile app with Bluetooth 4.1 LE technology, physical NFC cards or key fobs, and digital wallets like Apple Wallet and Google Wallet. This integration eliminates the need for traditional metal keys or mechanical code keypads.
On-device image processing
The integrated quad-core Arm Cortex-A53 processor handles video analysis and event detection directly in the camera's hardware. Local processes perform face detection and classify people or packages without relying on a remote cloud server. This approach speeds up the system's response when deciding to unlock and reduces the load on the building's data network.
Durable design for outdoor operation
The aluminium housing has an IP55 rating, protecting the internal electronics from rain, splashing water and dust. The device operates reliably in a temperature range of -30 to 50°C, making it suitable for installation in covered lobbies and entrances with a partial roof overhang. The stainless steel wall mount ensures the device is firmly fixed and resists corrosion in humid environments.
Two-way audio for communicating with visitors
A built-in speaker and sensitive microphone let you talk directly to the person at the door. An operator can answer the bell from reception or remotely via the UniFi Protect mobile app, without needing to install separate intercom hardware. Clear voice transmission makes it easier to communicate with couriers and improves the overall security of the building.
Native integration into the UniFi ecosystem
The device fully integrates with the UniFi Protect and UniFi Access software platforms for centralised management. The system automatically links video recordings with logs of NFC card taps or mobile unlocks in a single, clear dashboard. PoE+ power over a standard RJ45 Ethernet cable simplifies wiring, as it transmits both data and 16W of power over a single cable.
