It operates with a combined transmission speed of up to 9214Mbps, split across the 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz bands for optimal network traffic distribution and reduced interference. This advanced WiFi 7 Access Point uses key technologies like MLO and Multi-RU, which actively reduce latency and increase throughput in demanding environments. To fully utilise its potential, the ceiling-mounted WiFi Access Point is equipped with a 2.5Gbps Ethernet port for connecting to the backbone network without speed limitations.

Wi-Fi 7 and tri-band performance
The device operates with the 802.11be (Wi-Fi 7) standard and offers backward compatibility with older standards. As a tri-band access point, it divides traffic into three bands, which effectively reduces network congestion. It uses the 2.4GHz (574Mbps), 5GHz (2880Mbps), and especially the less congested 6GHz (5760Mbps) band. With a 320MHz (HE320) channel width in the 6GHz band, it significantly increases capacity for concurrent data-intensive transmissions.
Centralised management with Omada SDN for the TP-Link EAP772 Omada WiFi Access Point
Integration into the Omada Software Defined Networking (SDN) platform unifies the management of all network elements, including switches and routers, into a single, clear interface. The entire system is configured and monitored via the Omada web portal or mobile app. Management is available both locally and remotely via the cloud, simplifying the maintenance of large-scale networks. The device supports Mesh technology with AI roaming, which maintains a stable connection for clients as they move between access points.
Performance optimisation and low latency
To achieve low latency and high connection reliability, the access point implements Multi-Link Operation (MLO) and Multi-RU technologies. MLO aggregates multiple bands and channels simultaneously, increasing throughput and reducing delay. Multi-RU further optimises spectrum usage by enabling multiple users to share a single channel without interfering with each other. These features are complemented by OFDMA and MU-MIMO technologies, which efficiently serve a large number of connected devices at once.
Advanced network security
Wireless communication is protected by modern WPA2, WPA2-Enterprise, and WPA3 encryption standards. Features such as Guest Zone (guest network) and Access Control are used for network segmentation and access management. Support for the 802.1X standard provides robust user authentication in corporate networks. The transmission power reaches up to 28dBm. To connect to the backbone network, the access point is equipped with one 2.5Gbps RJ-45 Ethernet port. The interface does not limit the high speeds of the Wi-Fi 7 standard. Installation flexibility on the ceiling or wall is enhanced by Power over Ethernet+ (PoE+, 802.3at standard). The device can be powered by a single Ethernet cable that transmits both data and electrical power. Alternatively, a 12V DC adapter can be used, which is not included in the package.
