Cobi 5766 WWII Messerschmitt Me 163B Komet 1:32

The Messerschmitt Me 163B "Komet" is the only fully operational rocket-powered fighter to actually take part in military operations. With the COBI set you can build a realistic 1:32 scale model of this unique machine. Designed by Alexander Lippisch and tested by the famous pilot Heini Dittmar, the comet was an incredible phenomenon both from a technological and military point of view. The aircraft reached staggering speeds in excess of 1000 km/h and was the first machine in history to do so. Although its flight time was only about twelve minutes and landing without propulsion posed a serious risk, the Me 163B has gone down in golden letters as a symbol of innovation and a desperate quest for technological superiority. After running out of fuel, it turned into a glider fighter that had to make emergency landings - often only once, with no possibility of further takeoff.
