Tamron 35-150mm F/2-2.8 Di III VXD for Nikon Z

Tamron 35-150mm F/2-2.8 Di III VXD for Nikon Z
The Tamron 35-150mm F/2-2.8 Di III VXD for Nikon Z is a travel zoom lens that features an extremely high range. Covering the most common focal length range from 35mm wide-angle to 150mm telephoto, it is the world's first zoom lens with an initial aperture of F/2 for mirrorless full-frame system cameras with Nikon Z-mount. It is suitable for all typical travel photography situations - from landscapes and architecture to portraits and group shots to everyday snapshots, even for subjects with little light. The lens is designed exclusively for mirrorless cameras and cannot be used with DSLRs.

Key features of the Tamron 35-150mm F/2-2.8 Di III VXD for Nikon Z
- Very wide focal length range of 35-150 mm for versatile use
- High f/2-2.8 aperture for great results even in low light
- Fast and accurate autofocus with VXD technology
- Weather protection for reliability in harsh environments
- Customizable features via Tamron Lens Utility
- Aspherical lenses (ASL) for compact design and excellent image quality
- Special LD optical elements to minimize colour defects and chromatic aberration
VXD autofocus
VXD autofocus is a world premiere: It is the first linear focusing motor developed by Tamron for superior autofocusing. The two VXD modules, which operate in a floating system and are controlled by electronic pulses, ensure fast and accurate focusing on both near and distant objects. The new motor also ensures improved AF tracking, for example when shooting sports. The autofocus works so quietly that you can shoot even in situations that require complete peace and quiet.

Protection against splashing water
Tamron lenses have a weatherproof lens hood that optimally protects the sensitive interior from wind and weather. The robust outer shell is effectively sealed against moisture ingress at all critical points (e.g. between the focusing ring and the bayonet connection). This ensures reliable operation even in the harshest outdoor shooting conditions.
Advanced optics with hybrid aspherical elements and fluoride coating for clarity and image quality
The abbreviation "ASL" (ASpherical Lens) refers to hybrid aspherical lens elements. Corrects typical zoom lens aberrations such as spherical aberrations (sharpness errors). In addition, you can replace several other optical elements, allowing for a more compact design and consistently high image quality. The fluoride coating permanently protects the front lens from contamination. Oil and water droplets do not stick to the surface, which is therefore very easy to clean. ZOOM LOCK allows locking at any focal point.

Special LD optical members
Colour defect is a common optical defect, manifesting itself in many ways. We often talk about so-called chromatic aberration, which is more common in wide-angle lenses. LD elements are made of special optical glass with extremely low light scattering, which effectively compensates for colour defects, especially noticeable when using telephoto lenses in the extreme position.
Internal focusing
With internal focusing lenses, the length of the lens does not change during focusing and the filter ring does not rotate with it. This makes it easier to handle, especially with longer telephoto lenses, and also to shoot with polarizing and graduated filters. Other advantages include shorter focusing distance over the entire focus area and less light loss at the corners of the image (vignetting) and less focus-related aberrations.
Tamron Lens Utility
The new "TAMRON Lens Utility" software has been developed specifically for the configuration of compatible lenses. The TAMRON Lens Utility can be controlled via a computer by connecting the lens from its connector port via the TAMRON USB-C cable. Users can customize features and update firmware through the lens. With individual settings, the lens can be optimally adapted to the shooting situation, such as photography or video recording.
