About the real tank
The Panzerkampfwagen V Panther (Sd.Kfz.171) was a German medium tank produced from 1943–1945. The Ausf. A version was one of the first production variants with an improved turret and frontal armour. The tank was famous for its powerful armament (a 75mm KwK 42 cannon), sloped armour and an overall excellent balance between firepower, mobility and protection. It was deployed primarily on the Eastern and Western Fronts and became the terror of Allied tank units.
