Barbie Signature Inspiring Women Venus Williams
Barbie Signature Inspiring Women Venus Williams
The Barbie® Inspiring Women™ series pays tribute to the incredible heroines of their time - the courageous women who took risks, changed the rules and paved the way for generations of girls to dream bigger than ever before. Despite facing gender pay discrimination during her tennis career, Venus Williams was determined to achieve greater success on and off the court. She demanded equal prize money for the winner of the women's tennis tournament and the winner of the men's tennis tournament. A collectible Barbie doll, carved to her likeness and dressed in her tennis jersey from the 2007 tournament, which includes a cap, tennis racket and tennis ball, honors a world tennis champion and promoter. Includes doll stand and certificate of authenticity.
