Barbie Fashionistas model diabetes with dress with blue polka dots

Barbie Fashionistas dolls celebrate diversity and offer endless possibilities for storytelling and fashion exploration. With the inclusive collection, kids will see how fun it is to express personality through style. Barbie Fashionistas dolls are the ideal gift for children who love fashion. Barbie collaborated with Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF) to create a doll that celebrates community. Her stylish polka dot top and matching skirt reference the global symbols of diabetes awareness with a circle and the colour blue. Barbie uses an insulin pump and a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) to manage type 1 diabetes. To hold the CGM in place, it has a heart-shaped medical tape. She has a CGM app displayed on her phone that helps her monitor her blood sugar levels throughout the day to stay healthy and ready for a fun adventure at any time. The pastel blue handbag serves to store all the essentials for busy days on the go, and the chunky heeled boots easily transform her look from day to evening. Children from 3 years old can collect more Barbie Fashionistas dolls and have even more fun with friends and fashion while playing.
