The Sirui Aurora 35mm f/1.4 lens uses an optical system composed of 16 elements in 11 groups. The combination of aspherical elements and special SED, ED and HRI glass types effectively reduces chromatic aberration, spherical distortion and contrast loss in backlight. The result is high sharpness from the centre to the edges of the image and consistent image performance across the aperture range.
Lens aperture and blur work
A maximum aperture of f/1.4 allows low-light shooting without the need to significantly increase ISO sensitivity, while also providing significant control over depth of field. The 13-blade aperture produces a smooth and natural background blur that's especially suitable for portraits, close-ups and creative video.
