Philips Smart LED HDMI 2.0 Sync Box Kit 40"-50" EU LED strip
The Philips Smart LED HDMI 2.0 Sync Box Kit connects your TV's LED backlighting to the picture from an external HDMI source. The sync box processes video in real time and adjusts the lighting colours to match, so light effects accompany films, video games, sport and other content. It supports HDMI 2.0, 4K resolution at 60Hz, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. The kit is designed for TVs with a screen size of 40 to 50". Control and setup are handled by the WiZ app for Android and iOS. Compatible smart home platforms
Compatible with the manufacturer's app
To use the product's smart features, you need to add the device to the manufacturer's app. You can find more information about the app (name, supported OS, supported languages) and how to add the device to the app in the product manual.
Picture and light synchronisation
The sync box lets you synchronise your TV's backlighting with video content coming in via HDMI. The light effects react to the content playing in real time, extending the picture with ambient lighting. HDMI 2.0 supports 4K resolution at a 60Hz refresh rate. Supported picture technologies include HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. You can use synchronisation with external HDMI video sources, such as streaming devices or cable TV receivers.
Light settings and smart control
The WiZ app is used to set up the backlighting and offers preset sync modes, including Film and Relaxation. You can further customise each mode to achieve your desired lighting effect. The LED strip creates colour gradients as well as white light and offers a colour temperature range of 2700 to 6500K. The lighting supports dimming and dynamic effects. The system communicates via Bluetooth and 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and supports connections with compatible smart home platforms.
Installation and setup
Installation starts by attaching the backlight behind the TV and securing it with the clips. The sync box is then connected to a power socket and the external HDMI device. Another HDMI connection runs from the sync box to the TV. The LED backlight connects directly to the sync box. To get the system up and running, you need a TV, an external HDMI video source, a Wi-Fi network and a smartphone with the WiZ app.
