NiSi UV Filter SMC L395 72mm

The Nisi SMC L395 UV filter protects your lens while blocking ultraviolet radiation. This 72mm diameter filter features an ultra-thin slim design just 3mm thick, which minimises vignetting on wide-angle lenses. It is based on Japanese optical glass with a double-sided multi-layer coating that achieves a light transmittance of over 98.3%. The surface coating repels water and oil, making it easy to clean in the field. The aluminium frame is equipped with a front thread.

Optical quality and protection

The filter is based on Japanese optical glass with a multi-layer coating (SMC) applied to both sides. This coating reduces surface reflectivity to below 0.5% and contributes to a high light transmittance of over 98.3%. This prevents unwanted reflections and loss of detail in the image. The filter effectively blocks ultraviolet radiation with a wavelength below 395nm, helping to reduce the bluish tint in photos taken on a bright day.

Thin frame and easy maintenance

The Nisi SMC L395 filter is set in an ultra-thin aluminium frame just 3mm thick. Its slim design prevents vignetting—the darkening of image corners—even when used with wide-angle lenses. The frame includes a front thread, allowing you to attach a lens cap or other filters. Field maintenance is simplified by a waterproof and oil-repellent surface treatment. Drops of water or greasy fingerprints can be easily wiped off the glass surface.
