- Fixed focal length of 35 mm - compared to full-frame format corresponds to ~50 mm, i.e. a classic "normal" lens
- Very high f/1.7 aperture - ideal for shooting in low light and creating a strong blurred background (bokeh)
- Macro short focusing distance - min. 0.16 m - allows detailed images even at very close distances from the subject
- High magnification of 0.67× - displays near life-size objects, ideal for macro and close-up work
- Fine, circular aperture blades (9) for nice background blur and pleasing bokeh
- ED + aspherical optical element - which reduce chromatic defects and ensure sharp images with high quality
- Internal Focusing (IF) - the lens does not change its length when focusing, making it compact and stable
- Lightweight and compact (220 g) - ideal for carrying, travelling and frequent use
- Quiet and smooth STM autofocus - also suitable for video as focus changes are not distracting
- Universal use - thanks to the combination of macro properties, luminosity and "normal" focal length are suitable for macro, Portrait, the scene, street/photography, video and everyday footage
Macro lens with natural perspective and versatile use
The NIKKOR Z DX MC 35mm f/1.7 fixed focal length lens produces macro images with rich detail and a natural look.
Natural angle of view for easy composition
The normal angle of view of this lens so closely matches our vision that composing images becomes a completely intuitive activity. Realistic proportions, balanced backgrounds: move freely and get as close as you want - each composition will look appropriate and proportionate. With the shortest focusing distance of just 0.16m, you can achieve a perfectly sharp image even with the front of the lens just 7.2cm from the subject.
High luminosity for creative shots day and night
Shoot at a fully open f/1.7 aperture and you'll get images and videos with a real sense of spatial depth. The high-resolution image and aspherical ED glass optical element ensure brilliant object detail and soft, circular reproduction of out-of-focus spot brightness. From impressive macro shots bathed in window light to sharp portraits taken at night. The f/1.7 aperture allows you to capture images with lower noise levels using low ISO sensitivities. Or you can use shorter shutter speeds to freeze motion and achieve more stable handheld shots.
Lightweight, compact and ideal for everyday photography
The NIKKOR Z DX MC 35mm f/1.7 fixed focal length lens is small, easy to carry and comfortably light, so you won't even think about putting it on your camera when you go for a walk. This lightweight setup will also help you compose your macro shots perfectly: you can hold the camera with one hand and use the other hand to adjust the position of the subject at the same time. The fast stepping motor (STM) enables fast and almost silent autofocusing. It works brilliantly with your Z-series camera's subject detection, and the focusing sound won't mess up your footage.
