Power and cooling
A stable power supply for multi-core processors is provided by a 12+2+1 Duet Rail Power System digital power stage. This is complemented by two 8-pin connectors and Core Boost technology, which optimises the current for precise CPU power delivery. Massive heatsinks with 7W/mK thermal pads ensure effective heat dissipation from the voltage regulators. The crucial M.2 Shield Frozr heatsink actively reduces the operating temperature of the installed NVMe SSD, preventing thermal throttling and maintaining consistent read and write speeds under heavy load.
Connectivity and storage
The board offers modern interfaces for storage and peripherals. For the fastest SSDs on the market, it includes an M.2 slot with Lightning Gen 5 x4 support, which provides high transfer speeds. This is complemented by a second M.2 slot for PCIe 4.0 devices. Four Serial ATA III ports with a speed of 6Gb/s are used for connecting conventional hard drives or additional SSDs. The rear panel includes USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A and Type-C ports, HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 video outputs, and a connector for the EZ Antenna. Internal headers then allow you to route additional USB ports to the front panel of the case.
Expandability and easy assembly
The primary graphics card slot uses a PCIe 4.0 x16 interface and features reinforced soldering to securely accommodate heavy models. You can install other expansion cards, such as sound or capture cards, in the PCIe 4.0 x4 and PCIe 3.0 x1 slots. Features from the EZ DIY series significantly simplify the build process. The screwless EZ M.2 Clip II allows you to install an SSD in a single motion, and the enlarged EZ PCIe Clip II makes it easy to remove the graphics card without tools, which every PC builder will appreciate.
Network technologies and audio
A fast 2.5G LAN port provides network connection, offering more than double the throughput of standard Gigabit Ethernet. Wireless connectivity is handled by a Wi-Fi 6E module with support for the 6GHz band, which reduces latency and increases speed in environments with many networks. Audio Boost technology delivers a clean sound output for gaming and multimedia. The Realtek ALC897 audio processor is located on an isolated section of the PCB, which limits electromagnetic interference and delivers an undistorted 7.1-channel sound experience.
