The Mikrotik S53UG+5HaxD2HaxD-TC&EG18-EA wireless WiFi router combines the 802.11ax standard with an integrated Category 18 LTE modem. Wireless connectivity and 802.11ax standard speed
The wireless component works with the 802.11ax standard and Wave 2, which delivers higher transfer speeds compared to older standards. The device broadcasts on two bands. The speed on the 2.4GHz band is 574Mbps, and on the 5GHz band, it reaches 1200Mbps. Wave 2 technology supports MU-MIMO and explicit beamforming for older client devices.
Antenna system and coverage
The device uses an optimised antenna system to receive the mobile signal and broadcast the wireless network. The integrated Category 18 LTE modem supports 4×4 MIMO technology. The antennas ensure stable coverage throughout the entire building, with four built-in LTE antennas and two non-detachable dual-band antennas offering a gain of up to 6dBi on the 5GHz band.
Advanced security and the RouterOS system
Network security is enhanced by the implementation of the modern WPA3 encryption standard. The RouterOS v7 operating system offers a wide range of security management tools without needing a subscription. Users have access to comprehensive firewall rules, hardware-accelerated IPsec, VLAN creation, and the ability to set up a secure VPN for remote connections.
Connectivity
Physical connection to the network is provided by a set of Ethernet connectors, complemented by interfaces for the mobile network and peripherals. Power is supplied via the included 24V, 1.2A adapter. The router offers extensive connectivity options with four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, one 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet WAN/LAN port, one Micro SIM slot for an LTE card, and one USB port for external storage.
