Router Wi-Fi 7 Connectivity
The device supports the 802.11n, 802.11ac, 802.11ax, and 802.11be standards. In the 2.4 GHz band, the transfer speed is 688 Mbps with two antennas boasting a 4.4 dBi gain. MU-MIMO technology increases the total capacity for simultaneous communication with client stations. In the 5 GHz band, with three antennas featuring a 7 dBi gain, it transmits data at speeds of up to 2882 Mbps.
Wireless Network Security
Transmitted data is protected by modern WPA2 and WPA3 encryption standards. The integrated firewall filters incoming and outgoing traffic based on set rules. Network security is complemented by the Access Control tool for precise management of access rights for individual users. The Guest Zone function separates the guest network from the main corporate or home infrastructure.
Management with RouterOS
The device functions in router mode or as an access point controlled by the RouterOS v7 operating system. The hardware is based on a dual-core ARM processor with a frequency of 950 MHz, assisted by 512MB of RAM. The CAPsMAN tool is used for the centralised management of multiple access points from a single interface. 128MB of flash storage is used to store the system and configuration.
Connector options of the Mikrotik A WiFi Router
Physical connection to the network is provided by a set of Ethernet ports with different speeds. There is one 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet WAN port for a high-speed internet connection. The connector options are complemented by three Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports for connecting standard network elements.
