Homematic IP Water Stop and Supply Unit

The Homematic IP water shut-off and supply unit is designed to protect your home from damage caused by water leaks. As soon as the conductive sensor detects the presence of water, the unit automatically shuts off the water supply and immediately sends a notification to your phone via the Homematic IP app. The device works as part of the Homematic IP smart home system and requires a connection to the central unit to function. The combined mains and backup battery power supply ensures continuous operation.

Instant response and full control

At the heart of the unit is a conductive sensor that detects the presence of water. In the event of an accident, such as a burst pipe or an overflowing washing machine, the device reacts and shuts off the main water supply, minimising potential damage. At the same time, the system sends a push notification to your smartphone running Android or iOS. This gives you an overview of your home's status, even when you're away. The Homematic IP app is available in Czech, English and German.

Installation and operation

The unit is installed by screwing it onto the supply pipe and is intended for indoor use only. Operation is ensured by a dual power supply – primarily from a standard 230V mains network, with three AAA batteries, which are included in the package, serving as a backup. This combination ensures functionality even during a power outage. To make full use of all functions, including setting up automated scenarios, it is necessary to connect to the Homematic IP central unit, which serves as the communication bridge for the entire system.
