Hilook by Hikvision NVR-208MH-C/8P(D)
The Hilook by Hikvision network recorder is designed for processing, storing, and managing video footage from IP security cameras in continuous operation. This NVR device receives a digital video signal over the network, decodes it, and saves it to hard drives for later analysis or live viewing. Its desktop design, measuring 52 × 385 × 315 mm, allows for easy placement on a desk or in a rack. The device operates reliably in a temperature range of -10°C to 55°C and at air humidity levels from 10% to 90%. The Hilook by Hikvision network recorder is a stable component for building a camera system in both homes and commercial properties.
Key features of the Hilook by Hikvision NVR-208MH-C/8P(D) network recorder
- Connect and record from up to 8 IP cameras simultaneously
- H.265+ compression significantly reduces hard drive capacity requirements
- Eight integrated PoE ports with a total power output of 80W to power the cameras
- Two SATA interfaces support hard drives with a capacity of up to 8TB per disk
- HDMI output supports display resolutions up to 4K 4096 × 2160 pixels at 30Hz
- The system offers motion detection, line crossing detection, and audio recording
- Remote access and management via a mobile app or web interface
Channel management
The device allows you to connect up to 8 IP cameras simultaneously via its network interface. Users can benefit from synchronous playback for all 8 channels at once, making it easier to monitor the entire property. The recorder offers an incoming bandwidth of 80Mb/s for smooth high-resolution video reception and the same 80Mb/s bandwidth for outgoing data. The decoding capacity is up to 1 channel at 8MP, 3 channels at 4MP, or 6 channels at 1080p. A recording bandwidth of 80MB/s ensures stable data transfer without any loss of image quality.
Video compression, audio recording and integrated PoE power
The recorder supports modern compression formats: H.265+, H.265, H.264+, and H.264. These technologies significantly reduce storage capacity requirements and network load while maintaining high image detail. The device also supports audio recording, with one RCA channel for audio output and one RCA interface for two-way audio. The Hilook by Hikvision network recorder includes 8 RJ-45 ports with speeds of 10/100Mb/s, which support PoE power according to the IEEE 802.3af/at standard. Cameras connect directly to the recorder using a single ethernet cable that transmits both data and power. The total PoE budget is 80W, while the recorder's own consumption, without connected HDDs and with PoE turned off, is 15W or less.
High resolution, detection and remote control
The device records video at resolutions up to 8MP, which corresponds to the 4K standard with a resolution of 4096 × 2160 pixels at 30Hz on the HDMI output. There is also one VGA output with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels at 60Hz. For data storage, there are two SATA interfaces that can accommodate 2.5" and 3.5" hard drives. Each SATA bay supports a hard drive with a capacity of up to 8TB, allowing for a total storage of 16TB. The recorder supports motion detection and line crossing detection functions for early detection of unauthorised entry. When these events occur, it sends notifications via email or to a mobile phone. The entire system is managed via a mobile app or web interface, and the device supports up to 32 remote connections simultaneously. It also features cloud storage support for data backup and two USB 2.0 interfaces for connecting peripherals.
