The GIGABYTE B760M DS3H AX DDR4 motherboard is built on the Intel B760 chipset and uses the Intel 1700 socket, ensuring compatibility with 14th, 13th and 12th generation Intel Core processors. The mATX (Micro ATX) format makes the board ideal for compact builds that don't require a full-sized ATX format but still offer enough room for expansion. The board supports four DDR4 modules in a dual-channel configuration with XMP profiles up to 5333MHz. All memory routes are placed in the inner layers of the PCB and are shielded by a ground layer to protect against external interference.

Hybrid power and support for high-performance processors
The power system uses a hybrid 6+2+1 phase digital VRM solution with low-resistance transistors, premium chokes and capacitors, which improve transient response and minimise voltage ripple. The eight-pin CPU power connector ensures a stable power supply even for more demanding models. The board features PerfDrive technology, which combines several exclusive BIOS settings and lets users easily balance performance, power consumption and temperature when using 13th generation Intel Core processors. Max Turbo mode allows processors to run at their maximum Turbo Boost frequency, Enhanced Performance mode delivers high performance at lower temperatures, and E-Core Disable mode allocates resources exclusively to performance cores, increasing gaming performance while reducing overall power consumption.
Expansion slots and storage with PCIe 4.0
The board offers one PCIe 4.0 x16 slot with an EZ-Latch mechanism for easy graphics card release without having to manually operate the latch, two PCIe 4.0 x1 slots and four SATA III ports for conventional storage. For high-speed SSDs, there are two M.2 connectors with PCIe 4.0 x4 support, providing up to three times the bandwidth compared to PCIe 3.0. One of the M.2 slots is equipped with a passive heatsink and thermal guard, which dissipates heat from the SSDs and prevents performance throttling under sustained load. The printed circuit board itself is designed with low impedance, which helps maintain signal integrity at high transfer speeds.
Advanced cooling options and Smart Fan 6
The Smart Fan 6 system offers an improved user interface in the BIOS with enhanced fan control. The number of control points on the fan curve has increased from five to seven, which enables more precise speed adjustments. Users can switch between the linear Slope mode and the non-linear Stair mode, in which the fan maintains a constant speed within a defined temperature interval. For advanced users, there is a manual input option and an EZ Tuning function that automatically generates a fan curve based on four entered points.
