The weapon blade is made of spring steel CSN 14260 / DIN 1.7103 (6% C, 0.5-0.85 Mn, 1.3-1.6% Si, 0.8-1.05 Cr). The blade is hardened and then kiln-fired. The hardness of the blades ranges from 53-55 HRC.
