The FUJINON XF100-400mmF4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR is a super telephoto zoom lens optimized for use in harsh conditions, covering the equivalent of a 35mm focal length of 152-609mm. The versatile telephoto range is ideal for wildlife and sports photography, also suitable for photographing distant moving objects. The lens is boosted by a pair of linear AF motors for fast performance as well as 5EV optical image stabilization to minimize shake.

Advanced optical design for superior image quality

The high-performance optical design of 21 elements in 14 groups includes five ED lenses (with extremely low dispersion) and one Super ED lens, which help reduce axial chromatic aberrations often found in telephoto lenses. As a result, it delivers the highest image quality in its class and produces images full of detail.

High magnification and advanced stabilization for sharp details and macro images

The maximum magnification is 0.19×, allowing users to take macro images with a telephoto lens. In addition, a nine-lamel rounded aperture contributes to pleasing bokeh quality when working with selective focusing techniques. 5.0 EV OIS image stabilization system - the most powerful of all super telephoto zoom lenses - minimizes shake and jitter even at maximum zoom. If "panning" is detected, the lens automatically switches the camera shake correction to the vertical plane only.

Fast and silent focusing for dynamic scenes and movies

Two linear motors are used for fast focusing on moving subjects, making the lens ideal for e.g. for aircraft and motorsport photography. The motors are so quiet that the lens is also suitable for filming live musical performances and theatrical productions. Even faster AF is possible thanks to the focus limiter function, which limits the close focus point to 5m.

Practical features for stability and flexibility when shooting

The zoom lock prevents accidental zoom shift and can also be used to keep the zoom position the same while shooting. Removable tripod swivel collar allows for well-balanced mounting and shooting from a tripod or monopod. The sun visor has a sliding window so that the polarizing filter is still accessible even when the sun visor is installed.

Durable design and high compatibility for harsh environments

The lens has a weatherproof design, features 13 different seals against in 12 locations, is water and dust resistant and can operate in temperatures down to -10°C. A fluorine coating has also been applied to the front member of the lens to repel water and dirt and improve the overall rigidity of the lens. The lens is compatible with Fujifilm's 1.4x and 2x teleconverters, which extend the focal length to max. 305 - 1219 mm (equivalent).
