To maximise the connection experience with remote controls, you can connect the indoor monitor to either the 2.4 or 5 GHz band. Enjoy strong Wi-Fi with lower latency, greater bandwidth, and a stable signal.

Compared to the prevailing H.264 video compression technology, H.265 creates a smoother viewing experience for recorded videos. At the same time, you don't have to worry about large video files taking up too much storage space on your device – H.265 technology reduces their size by up to 50%.

- The outdoor video doorphone is not only battery-powered but also supports solar charging, so it does not require an electrical connection during installation. In addition, the device connects to the indoor touch screen via Wi-Fi and does not require an internet connection between the two devices. However, a cable connection is required to control the gate/door, and users must also use a power cable to connect the indoor screen to an electrical socket.
- Only the outdoor video doorphone supports solar charging and is compatible with the included solar panel. The indoor screen must be connected to an electrical socket. The inclusion of a supporting solar panel in the EP7 kit is to provide an additional power source for the main device, which helps to extend battery life and reduce the frequency of recharging. Please note that the solar panel is not the primary or sole power option for your EP7, as its charging efficiency is highly dependent on exposure to sunlight (which can be significantly affected by the location and orientation of the solar panel and whether other objects in the area are blocking the sunlight) and the frequency of unlocking (opening the controlled door). If the solar panel cannot keep the EP7 powered, you can simply remove the battery by unscrewing the battery cover and charge it indoors without having to move the main device itself.
- Only the outdoor video doorphone and solar panel are weatherproof. The touch screen must be installed indoors.
- Users can customise the ringtone sent by the indoor display using touch controls or through the EZVIZ app. The outdoor doorbell offers only one default ringtone and cannot be customised.
- The cloud storage service is only available in select markets. Please verify availability before purchasing.
- The maximum transmission distance supported by Wi-Fi Halow™ technology between the indoor monitor and the outdoor unit may vary depending on various factors, including the number and thickness of intermediate walls, obstacles in the transmission space, weather conditions, and more. The maximum transmission distance of 400 metres was tested in an open environment without the aforementioned influencing factors. For example, the transmission distance is strongly influenced by the number of walls in the environment: 110m with 1 wall between them, 75m with 2 walls, and 65m with 3 walls (the figures are based on the thickness of each wall being approximately 30cm to 40cm, measured in a straight line between the two devices). Wet weather conditions or obstacles such as trees along the transmission path can also affect the performance of Wi-Fi Halow™ technology. It is recommended not to install the device on a metal surface, as metals can significantly affect transmission performance, which is also why the device is equipped with a plastic cover.
