The IK mechanical resistance rating indicates the ability of the device to withstand mechanical impact. This classification is defined by EN 62262 / IEC 62262 and is used for products that are intended for outdoor use or harsh environments - including IP cameras. Values range from IK00 (no protection) to IK10 (highest normal protection). For IP cameras, this parameter is particularly critical in locations with a higher risk of vandalism, public areas or industrial environments.
