The Dahua BP5E IP camera is a wireless security solution designed for outdoor monitoring with a high resolution of 5Mpx. The model offers a wide horizontal viewing angle of 78.4° and hybrid night vision with a range of up to 30m for infrared illumination and 20m for warm light. Integrated artificial intelligence ensures accurate detection of people, vehicles and animals, significantly reducing the number of false alarms. Thanks to the combination of a built-in 36Wh battery and the included solar panel, the camera operates completely autonomously without the need for complex cabling.

Highly Detailed Image with 5Mpx Resolution
A sharp and detailed image is provided by a 1/3" CMOS sensor with a resolution of 2880×1620px at a frame rate of 15 FPS. The camera has a single fixed lens with a focal length of 3.6mm and an F1.6 aperture, which lets in enough light even in low light conditions. The field of view offers a horizontal angle of 78.4°, a vertical angle of 42.4° and a screen size angle of 92.4°, ensuring a great overview of the monitored area. Modern H.265 video compression effectively reduces bandwidth requirements and saves storage capacity while maintaining high recording quality.
Hybrid Night Vision
The model offers advanced hybrid night vision that combines classic infrared illumination and warm LED light. It has two IR LEDs with a range of up to 30m and two warm light LEDs with a range of up to 20m. Users can choose from three light modes, which allow either discreet black-and-white recording or a full-colour night image for easier identification of details. In addition, the warm light can serve as a visual warning to potential intruders.
Intelligent Detection and Two-Way Audio
Advanced Motion Detection 2.0 technology uses artificial intelligence algorithms to accurately recognise people, vehicles and animals. The system can track moving objects using the Auto tracking function and send a mobile notification immediately in the event of an intrusion. The camera has a built-in microphone and speaker, which allows for convenient two-way communication in real time. When an unauthorised intrusion is detected, it can trigger an intense light and sound alarm that will reliably deter uninvited guests.
Local Recording Storage
Recordings are stored locally on a MicroSD memory card, which can be inserted into the integrated slot that supports capacities up to 512GB. A major advantage is the innovative Always-On Video (AOV) mode with ultra-low power consumption of only 0.1W at a frame rate of 0.5 fps, which ensures continuous 24/7 protection. Upon motion detection, the system automatically switches to the standard frame rate to capture smooth video. Local storage eliminates the need to pay regular fees for cloud services.
Construction, Rotation and Solar Power
The camera has a motorised drive with the ability to rotate remotely in a horizontal range of up to 350° and a vertical tilt of up to 90°, eliminating blind spots in the monitored area. The durable plastic body with IP66 ingress protection withstands adverse outdoor conditions in a temperature range from -20°C to 50°C. Power is provided by a built-in 36Wh battery, which is charged by a solar panel. A unique battery preheating technology enables safe charging from the solar panel even in frosty weather down to -10°C.
Connectivity and Application
Wireless connectivity is provided by modern dual Wi-Fi 6 (IEEE 802.11b/g/n/a/ac/ax) operating in the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, which offers high transmission speeds and increased interference immunity. There is also a classic RJ-45 (10/100 Base-T) ethernet port and a Bluetooth interface for quick pairing with a mobile device. The camera supports ONVIF network protocols for easy integration into existing camera systems. Remote management, live preview and history viewing is possible via the DMSS mobile app for Android and iOS operating systems.
