The cable failed to connect a 4K monitor via DP 1.2, only half of the image was displayed. I tried to claim it and the other piece behaved exactly the same, so that' s probably a feature, although according to the specs it should be able to do that. I ended up getting an Akasa reducer instead, which works without a problem.
