I chose this box because it has a quality chip (ASMedia) that guarantees high reliability, due to the backups on a classic platter. The box is well made with almost no reservations, except for a few minor things. If you ignore the fact that you put the HDD in the box upside down (up side instead of up, so down, which does not matter), so mainly there the disk has a clearance, so I definitely recommend to "pad" it a little (fortunately I had a "padding" from another box), furthermore, the box immediately bricked fingerprints. The cable is unnecessary, but they could have put USB-C to USB-C instead, or not put it in at all. Oh, and the last thing that bothers me, but all boxes under Mac do it, is that the system doesn't disconnect them after disconnecting even from power, so watch out for pulling it out prematurely when it's still writing or performing some operations. If you also want to monitor S. M. A. R. T. you have to enable kernel extension in recovery mode on a Mac with a Silicon CPU (it's a trivial thing, but I'll mention it).
