Overall, it’s a decent camera. I was very pleasantly surprised by the solar charging, which works really well. Even with frequent wake-ups for recording upon motion detection and connecting remotely, the camera easily recharged from 40% to 100% in two days and has stayed there since. Despite this, I had to return the camera – due to the solar power and battery, it's not possible to have continuous recording. It can't even take snapshots at various intervals; it simply records when motion is detected. However, the detection only works over a very short distance; it just doesn't see anything further than five metres away. It's suitable for monitoring an entrance or a driveway, but it won't reliably watch over your whole garden. It's a shame. I also have a Xiaomi camera, which is wired and so has continuous recording, but its motion detection range is many times longer than this TP-Link's. Although the motion detection is tragic in my opinion, I can't be too critical of the camera or outright not recommend it. You just need to think carefully about what purpose you'll be using it for.
