If you have other devices (cameras, doorbell, sensors), double check their new network availability so that they are not connected to the original network element - it seems to me that Mesh is not that flexible in this case - as far as mobiles are concerned, it probably is (Iot devices are usually "dumber" in this respect, or less flexible - already because of the need for 2.4 connection). I'm slowly replacing the original X year old Airport, absolutely phenomenal, so the comparison is rough - at the same time I like Tapo, Deco, Tp-Link stuff, so I'm more lenient about things. In this context, it might be worth saying that if you have iOS or Android, the initial setup in the same app behaves differently. For example, updating the station went well on my Pixel, but replacing the main station on the iPhone, so I write mainly patience.
