Perfect if you would like to have Bluetooth and Wifi on your desktop PC. Most PCs usually have one free unused PCIe slot anyway, so why not use it? The main disadvantage is that it is not enough to just plug the card into the PCIe slot, you also need to connect it to the internal USB header on the motherboard - probably to allow bluetooth to work. If you only need bluetooth, I recommend getting a simple USB dongle.
