The first time I used it and about the second time I stirred the pot, the strainer opened by itself. It's missing some sort of latch to prevent this as a tea strainer is probably good, but as soon as you need to stir soup or sauce it falls apart.

The sieve doesn't hold together, it's awfully loose.
