It's pretty durable, even in a fall, stainless steel plating, it's been through a lot in 5 years of intensive use with a family with children. I've even fixed it (after the fall the micro switches under the buttons turned, disassembling and straightening was totally fine).
It's on 2 AAA pencils, so it doesn't run out of power any time soon, lasts a long time unlike the previous ones with a button flashlight (and we have a rechargeable one, OK again in half an hour)
It is (without the bowl) very compact.
Stainless steel is easy to clean.
The prints have peeled off within 2 years, but there are 2 buttons, it's not the shuttle controls, and it's not actually missing anything.
We don't use the supplied stainless steel bowl much. Quite often you use a different bowl, plate, etc. we cover the display, so we put something suitable (like a wide mug) under the container and reset it. It would be useful if it was taller with a higher inclination or more forward display, but then it would not be so well stored; -)
