Upgrading from the Galaxy Watch 5 to the Watch 9 is a huge leap forward. What impressed me the most is the significantly smoother system, the brighter display in the sun, and the much longer battery life. The advanced sleep tracking and more accurate heart rate monitoring work brilliantly. In my opinion, it's the best watch for a Samsung Android!

I upgraded my watch from a really old version, specifically the Galaxy Watch 4, so it had been through a lot, and so far I'm very happy with the Galaxy Watch 9. The battery life is at least a bit longer, and the running coach is a great motivator to get active. Making calls via the watch is superb – the sound is clear and the person on the other end can hear me well. The watch has a sophisticated design, and the watch faces even offer the option to create your own design with a photo. The AI assistant can help with quick advice so I don't have to pull out my phone straight away. Everything works as it should. I also appreciate the 'health' features like blood pressure monitoring, ECG, body composition, sleep apnoea checks, and any further advice regarding rest or physical activity. I was hesitating for a long time about whether to get another Samsung because of the battery or go for a watch from a different manufacturer, but in the end, I'm glad I made my decision.
My only concern is the raised glass and the possibility of scratching its edges. Otherwise, nothing so far.

I'm upgrading from a Galaxy Watch 5 and I can see a huge difference in speed and battery life, as well as in the display's readability and usability. Apps load faster, the watch doesn't lag. After the first charge, the battery managed almost two days of life, even with recording shorter activities, compared to the Watch 5, which I had to charge every few hours when recording an activity with GPS. The dual-frequency GPS calculates kilometres driven or walked and metres climbed more accurately. Overall, I also appreciate the number of health functions and measurement analyses available.
I upgraded to the Watch9 from the Watch5 and it's a really big difference. The watch sits on the wrist much better, it's a lot flatter and therefore more comfortable not just for everyday wear but also for things like workouts. Kettlebell workouts are now much more comfortable and I don't have to worry so much about breaking it. Compared to my previous watch, the GPS connects much faster so I finally don't have to wait 15 minutes before I can start my run. The downside is the incredibly long charging time (hopefully this will be fixed in a firmware update) and the overall battery life.

What is disappointing, though, is the range of apps – we normally open the doors to our house and flat with our phones, but the lock manufacturers don't have an equivalent for the watch.
I upgraded from a GW4 to a GW9 (40mm BT) and it's a really huge difference. With the older GW4 model, the battery barely lasted a day, which was very restrictive during normal use.
