I bought the WIFI socket for the possibility of measuring consumption even where I don' t have a zigbee gateway (cottage). This drawer is really small and mainly does not get in the way of the double drawer. It' s easy to pair (which you' ll appreciate because of the socket reset). That' s where the positives end.
Even measuring in the next room, where there is no wifi router, is a problem in some places, because it reports blackouts and a weak signal. The native application is quite sufficient for control, although sometimes annoying (why do I have to unclick a dialog requesting access to the location every time I want to open a socket profile to control it, for the purposes of some " profiles" that are anyway behind a paywall and I don' t use them, when I already disabled it several times).
The socket detail screen actually shows the current voltage, current and power (with a slight delay). However, the daily and monthly totals are not updated correctly and the values do not correspond to the measured amount on the consumption tab. On this tab there are graphs with measured values. The smallest is after hours, then days, months and years. Unfortunately, the next day you won' t be able to look at " yesterday' s" schedule. If you want to see, for example, the consumption of the device over the course of the entire 24 hours by individual hours and you go past midnight, you are out of luck. A lower interval (minutes) would also be useful at times. This is related to the missing start/stop measurement option, when you choose the beginning of the measurement and then its end, and you want to know the flow in this interval. This way, you either remember when you measured it or you have to reset the entire socket, which means de-pairing it and erasing the measured values. It is not even possible to export them to a table for processing in Excel into a graph.
Last but not least, there are some smart functions in the application, which, according to the pictures, probably have some consumption statistics, but they are behind a paywall, when 70 crowns per month is required. Probably because of them, the app still wants to get the location.
As a basic stationary smart socket with consumption measurement, if you use it close to the router and you don' t want to have clouds of sockets, it' s probably OK, but for more such sockets I' d go for the zigbee version with some kind of gateway, which thanks to the mesh has a much better connection, lower consumption and does not load the router directly. As a drawer for measuring consumption on various appliances, it is not very suitable due to the application and the weaker antenna.
