Everything was working great until the moment when the speed dropped to 0 while copying a file and nothing happened. I had the box set to RAID 1 just in case one disk was damaged. However, I didn't expect the box to destroy one disk completely and damage the other to the point where Windows reports that the disk is not initialized. Eventually I managed to recover the data, despite the initialization problem, namely that the disk was encrypted with BitLocker. Either way, it was backed up by an older backup in the cloud. Whether the fault was only on the side of the box is speculative, but since both disks were damaged at the same time I think so.
