Compared to the 4060, I would say that it is worth paying extra for the longer life of the card if it has at least 12gb vram and doesn' t even have the new nvidia connector. Definitely a better buy than the slightly cheaper similarly performing rx 7700Xt or 4060ti 16gb. I use it with an i5 12600k and 32gb ddr4 and it runs without a problem with a 1440p 165hz monitor.
I was surprised by the noise, I tried the 4060 gainward ghost and it ran at 70c after practice and was quite noisy, but this msi 2 fan card only around 66/67c and it was only slightly audible, which surprised me, and with undervolt it runs at 58/60c and you can hardly hear it either endorfy feru and arcitc fans so the pc is almost inaudible in operation.
Smaller so it fits into smaller builds and is well cooled, Light coil while only around 1000-1500fps in the menu, for example I set the fps limit in the control panel to 495 and inaudible
I tried amd and the problems I had were solved by a bunch of nvidia drivers, so they are definitely better drivers
Bought at a discount for 13500, which is not so much compared to the rx7700XT with almost the same performance
It has at least 12GB of RAM
it has only 1 pcie 8pin, it doesn' t have the new connector like msi gaming x slim
I' ve been using it for a week with an i5 12600k at 1440p and no problem so far
Don' t be afraid to put this card in an older setup, I have an I7 7700k, MSI Z270 A PRO, M2 SSD, 32GB RAM, G-SYNC ultrawide monitor and Cyberpunk 2077 runs smoothly in 4k, all details at max and ray tracing at about 70%
Big jump from GTX 1050TI to RTX 4070. Is more silent than laptop (RTX 3070) Legion 7. I was surprised the low consumption and low noise. Perfect for low budget. I'm ok for next 4-5 years.
FrameGeneration causes ghosting in racing games ( Tested on multiple monitors ) .
Memory ( I switched to the 6800, which is 10 percent worse in performance but 5000 cheaper, and at 1080p for demanding titles like Resident Evil 4, this cheaper card is even better because 12GB of memory is just not enough for 1080P ultra or 1440P high, unfortunately. For example, with the aforementioned RE4, the card bottlenecked the Ryzen 5800X, after replacing the card, I found that the game requires up to 14GB of VRAM. ( without DLSS or FSR )
He's a beast. Runs everything at max, 150+ fps in AAA games is no problem, DLSS 3 is op, Frame Gen even more so. I was thinking that's a lot of money for graphics, but the features you get when you pay extra are really crazy. Plus, this model is just as small as budget graphics, and it eats just as much, so you can stuff it practically anywhere and have a high end PC in one go. The only thing I have to criticize is the default fan curve on this particular Ventus model. Too aggressive, but after adjustment is not a problem and the temperatures are normal. You can get some overclock out of it, too. If you can get a basic model for the money, there's nothing to worry about. I've always been a fan of AMD and thought strongly about them, but now I can't imagine life without DLSS. Then of course GeForce Experience, RTX Noise Suppression or whatever it's called, NVidia just crushes it with those features.
If the card cost under ten thousand I would have no problem with it, but the price is still high in my opinion. Otherwise, the noise that the card makes may be a minus for some. The fans are not among the quietest, they are audible from as low as 30%. The performance of the card is excellent, ray tracing in FullHD gives the card everywhere at full detail (with DLSS). Consumption is great. p. s.: the backplate is plastic
ray tracing
subvoltage option = very low power consumption (up to 195W)
decent performance
12GB RAM
reliable
price (should cost under 10k)
it is noisy in default setting, fans humming already at 30%
My first RTX card I replaced with a GTX 1660 ti oc. It met my expectations after I got her a new cpu. (:
I'm connected.
I won't be satisfied in about two years.
