This is not Alza's fault. The manufacturer messed up something, the internal dimension which was supposed to be 13.5 (apparently height) × 9 (apparently depth) × 13 (apparently width) is actually about 13.5 × 9.8 × WTF. The WTF variable has a value of 12.1 at the top of the lid bend, much less at the bottom, 12.4 at the top of the zipper, and much less at the bottom. So I can't fit a 12.9 camera in there, unless I cram it in so piggishly that I destroy the zoom lens mechanism (which shouldn't be pushed even when it's least zoomed, there's incredibly small clearances).
