The first one lasted less than 10 months, after a complaint we got a new one, but unfortunately the situation repeated with exactly the same fault. So it's not one defective product, it's a bad design. It cooks the rice, but instead of switching to reheat, it continues to cook, and instead of switching the light from red to orange, it goes out completely. Because unfortunately it doesn't click when you're done cooking, there's nothing to warn you. So in both cases, it ended up being such a burnt pot that there was no way to clean it (not to mention the spoiled rice).
We've had a few rice mills in 20 years, but never a crappy thing like this. I've yet to have it repeatedly not last a year. Don't take this crap.
