I was looking for some smaller portable radio for internal use in rooms, for fishing, for a chat. Absolutely ideal radio for these purposes. You probably won't make a disco out of it, but even at maximum volume the radio keeps the sound quality and it's listenable. At standard volume up to about 75% power, the radio has great sound, even sounding better or at least comparable to much more expensive or more powerful radios. The size and location of the controls are also an advantage - they are not on the perimeter or on the side, which makes the radio easy to transport. On the other hand, you have to hold the radio down while pressing the buttons to keep it from going backwards. A minor drawback is the lack of clear charging. After plugging into the mains, after a while the battery shows a full charge on the display, but you need to watch the smaller diode near the connector, which is red and turns green after charging. However, this is also pointed out in the manual and is common with cheaper radios (the icon on the display shows the battery status, not the charging process). I haven't tested the battery life yet. On the dealers website it says 8 hours, the manual says 9-12, foreign reviews say 8-10 for FM and 6-8 for DAB. I won't examine it in detail, a day without a network it simply lasts and I deliberately do not write it in the pros or cons. Another disadvantage is maybe the default language setting to some Polish or whatever it was. But the controls are simple and even without the manual it is no problem to switch to English. Furthermore, the control is intuitive, where the Czech language is not even needed. A partial disadvantage is perhaps the lackluster EQ - while it offers classic presets (bass, rock, jazz, etc. ) but the differences are minimal. The main difference is perhaps only noticeable when switching from "normal" to rock or bass. But this is quite common with cheaper radios, and it also depends on the input sound quality for it to show up, which is generally not very noticeable with radios. As a last thing I would mention the different switching of stations between stored positions for FM and DAB. But I've seen this with other radios and I guess it's normal (with FM you click left/right to move the frequency, with DAB you switch between stored stations). For stored FM stations, you can only see the frequencies in the list, not the radio names (can look cluttered). But considering the price, these are negligible details (and I had to think a lot about what to write in the cons: D ) and perhaps common features in radios in general. The most important criterion should be the sound quality and good reception and I consider this radio really above standard in this price category. I can't give 95%, so I give 100%
price
very decent sound for such a small and cheap radio
good signal reception (both FM and DAB - catches a lot of stations)
quality (impression of quality plastic, no "pea")
design
high quality and clear display (for DAB also the possibility of switching images, texts, descriptions, etc. )
good button response and fast response (no delays)
simple operation
Up to 40 stations can be stored for FM and 40 stations for DAB
not only the cable but also the power supply included!
operation from both mains and built-in battery
opaque charging
the menu is not in Czech (but there is a Czech manual included)
bland equalizer
for FM stored stations only the frequency, not the name
different switching/tuning of stations between FM/DAB
