I thought I was buying super value for money: performance with verified controller and DRAM cache, unfortunately the manufacturer changed the product but left the name. You can see the result in the attached photos.

In my 1TB drive is a low-cost Phison E21 controller, whose claimed speeds are at the limit of its capabilities. There are two memory chips from Micron.
I have it connected via legacy PCIe 3.0 - sequential speeds are fully consistent with the maximum speed of this interface, but random read/write speeds are somewhat weaker with this drive.
The claimed TBW is more of an advertising gimmick - the manufacturer has changed the controller and memory several times and it is quite unlikely that they would all have the same TBW as the original model - it will be more at around 600 TBW like the competition.
There is no firmware available for download on the Apacer website, and neither the firmware update tooly nor other useful features available there.
As a result, it's a decent SSD drive in the lower price category of PCIe 4.0 drives with a good price/performance ratio (bought in the Black Friday sale + in-app discount, for a total of 1199 CZK).
