Laptop batteries with premium cells
AVACOM now introduces laptop batteries made of high-capacity cells from PANASONIC, LG, and SONY. Despite having the same size and weight, these batteries boast up to 32% higher capacity than the originals. For instance, we now offer a 6-cell battery featuring these new 5800mAh cells as an upgrade from the original 4400mAh capacity. The cells used in these batteries also have a longer lifespan than most types of cells used by original laptop manufacturers.
Batteries from quality components
The batteries feature sophisticated electronics with double protection. This component manages the charging of individual cell lines and protects them from overcharging and deep discharge. Batteries with high-capacity cells noticeably extend your laptop battery life, so you can travel to longer meetings without carrying a power adapter.
How to keep the battery in good condition
The battery is partially charged from the factory, but its capacity and performance have not yet reached 100%. For optimal calibration, we recommend repeating a full charge and discharge cycle at least 3× right at the start. Constantly connecting the device to a power source reduces battery capacity, so we recommend disconnecting it from the mains from time to time. If you do not use the battery, store it charged in a dry place, and check and recharge it approximately every six months.
What damages batteries
One of the most common causes of battery degradation is leaving it completely discharged and unused for a long time. Do not expose the battery to temperatures above 60°C. If the battery is exposed to temperatures below 5°C, recharge it only after it reaches room temperature. Use the battery only in the devices for which it is intended. Also, make sure the battery is not exposed to short circuits or high discharge currents. Protect it from mechanical damage, chemicals, and moisture.
