Laptop batteries with premium cells
AVACOM now offers laptop batteries made of high-capacity cells from PANASONIC, LG and SONY. These batteries have up to 32% higher capacity than the original batteries while keeping the same size and weight. For example, we now offer a six-cell battery with an original capacity of 4400mAh with these new 5800mAh cells. The cells used in these batteries also have a longer lifespan than most types of cells used by brand-name laptop manufacturers.
Batteries from quality components
The batteries feature sophisticated electronics with dual protective backup. This part manages the charging of individual cell branches and also protects them from overcharging and over-discharging. Batteries containing high-capacity cells significantly extend your laptop battery life, so you do not even need to pack a power adapter for longer meetings.
How to keep your battery in good condition
The battery is partially charged from the factory, but its capacity and performance have not yet reached 100%. Therefore, for optimal calibration, we recommend repeating the full charge and discharge cycle at least 3× right at the start. Constantly connecting your device to the mains reduces battery capacity, so we recommend disconnecting it from time to time. If you are not using the battery, store it charged in a dry place and check and recharge it approximately every six months.
What damages batteries
One of the most common causes of battery degradation is storing it fully discharged and not using it for a longer period. Do not expose the battery to temperatures above 60°C. If the battery is exposed to temperatures below 5°C, only charge it once it reaches room temperature. Only use the battery in devices for which it is designed. Also, ensure the battery is not exposed to short circuits or high discharge currents. Protect it from mechanical damage, chemicals and moisture.
