The Asustor Drivestor 4 Pro NAS network storage serves as a centralised data repository for storing, backing up, and sharing files in both home and business environments. This four-bay device functions as a personal cloud with fast data access and supports various RAID levels to ensure the security of stored information. The tower-style device can accommodate up to four 3.5" SATA HDDs, as well as 2.5" SATA HDDs or 2.5" SATA SSDs.

High hardware performance
The system uses a Realtek RTD1619B quad-core processor with a frequency of 1.7GHz, complemented by 2GB of DDR4 RAM. This hardware configuration ensures all integrated applications run smoothly and handles multiple tasks simultaneously without issue. The upgraded processor with an improved iGPU significantly increases processing speeds and enables efficient management of the entire network storage.
Smooth multimedia transcoding
The device supports hardware decoding, which enables smooth video playback and transcoding of 10-bit 4K H.265 media. Users can easily stream multimedia content to their mobile devices, tablets, or televisions. Through the App Central, you can install UPnP Media Server and OwnTone to create a central home cinema.
Network connection
The network storage offers one 2.5GbE port, which more than doubles the transfer speed compared to a standard gigabit connection. In the lab, it achieves read speeds of up to 283MB/s and write speeds of up to 280MB/s. This transfer speed accelerates backups of large data volumes and reduces the time needed to copy files.
Btrfs file system
This device is the first ARM platform NAS server from ASUSTOR to support the Btrfs file system. Users can create Btrfs snapshots in Snapshot Center, making it easy to restore files after accidental changes or a ransomware attack. The system supports both scheduled and manual snapshot creation to enhance the security of stored data.
Installation and management
The device's design features a tool-free hard drive installation system, simplifying assembly without any tools. The caddies in the bays allow for quick drive mounting and support hot-swapping of hard drives without needing to shut down the entire system. The exclusive MyArchive cold backup technology is used for storing unused drives.
Data security
The ADM operating system includes built-in protection against network attacks, the ADM Defender firewall, and support for AES-256 folder encryption. Additionally, the system supports hybrid encryption with post-quantum TLS cryptography certified by the US NIST, which automatically activates TLS 1.3 security. This protects your stored data from future quantum threats and unauthorised access.
