Excellent signal to noise ratio

The STX II model builds on the premium quality of your favourite Xonar Essence ST/STX sound cards. It uses the AV100 audio chip and offers first class design, performance and sound. The 124dB signal to noise ratio (SNR) is 64 times more than conventional integrated sound solutions, and a no less powerful 120dB signal to noise ratio is achieved in the headphone output. Ultra low distortion is acheived by premium temperature compensated crystalline oscillators (TCXO). The power supply is powered by a separate 4 pin Molex connector, and uncompromising sound is provided by LDO Hi-Fi controllers and WIMA capacitors.

First class headphone amplifier

The card boasts a premium headphone amplifier which supports up to 600 Ohm impedance with separate volume control for the IEM headphones. The Essence STX II has a set of three operational amplifiers for quality sound, effects, and includes tools for their installation. Dolby Digital Live, Dolby Headphone, Dolby Virtual Speaker or Dolby Pro-Logic II are also supported. Dolby Digital Live delivers Dolby Digital surround sound with 5.1 channels, Dolby Headphone delivers surround sound through the headphones, Dolby Virtual Speaker adjusts 2 channel and 5.1 channel stereo content to virtual surround sound, and Dolby Pro Logic II transforms high-quality stereo sound into a rich and realistic 5.1 Surround sound.
