ARCTIC Freezer 36 Black

ARCTIC Freezer 36 Black
The ARCTIC Freezer 36 Black is an air cooler that consistently dissipates heat, even under prolonged load from modern processors. It uses a combination of a shaped heatsink, two fans in a push-pull configuration, and design elements that address not only efficiency but also long-term reliability. The fin design with open sides allows the rear fan to draw air directly from the case interior. This additional air intake enhances cooling efficiency in situations where the case has a higher internal temperature or restricted airflow.
Key features of the ARCTIC Freezer 36 Black CPU cooler
- Black design with a covered top plate
- Push-pull dual-fan configuration
- Mounting without metal clips
- User-friendly contact frame for Intel
- Optimised airflow through open-sided heatsink
- Fans with stable operation thanks to FDB bearing
- Compatibility with current and future Intel and AMD sockets
- Quiet operation thanks to PWM control
- Focus on long-term mechanical stability
Aluminium cover and simple installation
An aluminium top plate covers the heat pipe ends, giving the cooler a unified look. This design eliminates exposed joints and complements the air tunnel, which promotes even airflow throughout the entire cooler body. The fans are attached using a click-in mechanism, with no need for metal clips. This makes them easy to install, even when the cooler is already attached to the motherboard.
Verified on high-performance Intel processors
The cooler has undergone Intel's tests on the i9-13900K/KF, i9-14900K/KF, and i9-13900KS models. These stress tests assessed both the behaviour with the contact frame and the cooling efficiency itself, confirming the Freezer 36's ability to work with processors that have a high thermal output.
Multi-socket compatibility
The Freezer 36 offers support for both Intel and AMD sockets and is also ready for the upcoming Intel LGA1851 platform. This long-term usability eliminates uncertainty for future upgrades and allows the cooler to be seamlessly transferred to the next generation of processors.
Contact frame with stable heat transfer
The integrated ARCTIC frame replaces the standard ILM system, which can cause processor deformation due to pressure loading. The frame distributes the force evenly, minimising mechanical stress and thereby stabilising the contact between the CPU and the cooler, which is crucial for long-term consistent temperatures.
Bearings with a modified composition and high static pressure
The fans use bearings with a combination of an alloy and lubricant developed with an emphasis on reducing friction. This type of bearing limits lubricant loss and wear, which leads to lower shaft heating, quieter operation, and a longer lifespan. The P-series fans used are optimised for environments with a dense fin structure. They push air evenly through the cooler fins, which has a positive effect under higher processor thermal loads.
