Zyxel FWA505 V2
Zyxel FWA505 V2
The Zyxel FWA505 V2 modem provides a stable wireless and wired internet connection for homes or offices. The device combines the functions of a 5G modem and a WiFi 6 router, supporting fast data transfer. The device uses four integrated omni-directional antennas, which ensure optimal signal reception on 5G and 4G networks. Users can connect up to 64 wireless devices simultaneously without any drop in network performance. There is also one gigabit LAN port to ensure a reliable wired connection for a computer or network drive.
Key Features of the Zyxel FWA505 V2 Modem
- The device supports 5G and LTE mobile networks with high data transfer speeds
- The router has four integrated antennas for 5G/4G connectivity and four internal Wi-Fi antennas
- The wireless network uses the WiFi 6 standard with a total speed of up to 3Gbps
- The device includes one slot for a Micro SIM card
- The network interface offers two gigabit Ethernet ports for connecting wired devices
- Cloud management allows for remote router setup using a mobile app
- The security system includes a firewall and supports WPA2-Personal and WPA/WPA2 encryption
Fast Mobile Connection
The device supports fifth-generation mobile networks with a theoretical download speed of up to 4.67Gbps. This allows it to handle demanding data transfers, such as streaming high-resolution video or quickly downloading large files. The integrated antennas receive signals from all directions, which stabilises the connection even in areas with weaker coverage. The device automatically selects the best available band to achieve optimal data transfer speeds. This provides users with a fast internet connection without the need for a cable installation.
WiFi 6 Wireless Network
The router works with the 802.11ax standard, which offers a total wireless speed of up to 3Gbps. This interface efficiently distributes bandwidth among dozens of connected phones, tablets, and computers. Dual-band operation on the 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies prevents mutual interference from surrounding networks. Smart Connect technology automatically assigns devices to the less congested frequency band. This prevents network slowdown when connecting older electronic models.
Reliable Backup
The design includes two Ethernet ports, which allow for flexible configuration of your home network. One of the ports can function as a backup WAN interface in case the main mobile connection fails. If the signal is lost, the router immediately redirects traffic to the fixed connection, thus preventing any work interruptions. The dual WAN interface reduces the risk of unexpected internet outages in the office and at home. This ensures users have uninterrupted online access.
Eco-Friendly Design and Sustainability
The manufacturer places a strong emphasis on environmental protection when producing network components. The router's chassis is made of 95% recycled plastic, reducing the product's carbon footprint. The packaging is free from halogens and volatile organic compounds, which are harmful to nature. The device boasts low electricity consumption during full operation. This allows users to save on running costs while contributing to sustainability.
Network Traffic Security
The integrated firewall protects the internal network from unauthorised access from the internet. The system can detect attempts to block services and blocks malicious traffic at the network layer. Support for WPA2-Personal and WPA/WPA2 encryption prevents eavesdropping on wireless communication and protects users' personal data. Address filtering is used to precisely set access rights for individual computers on the network. The security features operate in the background without affecting data transfer speeds.
Easy Management
Router setup and management is handled via a mobile app or a cloud interface. Users can monitor network status, change passwords, or configure guest networks remotely from their mobile phone. The system supports a zero-touch installation that gets the internet up and running in a few minutes without any expert knowledge. The Nebula cloud platform provides an instant overview of all connected devices and network traffic. This allows the network administrator to make setting adjustments from anywhere.
