The ZTE G5 Air 5G WiFi router works as a 5G FWA router with the Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) standard and supports a dual-band network. The device converts a mobile 5G signal into a home or business network without the need to install a fibre optic cable. The plug-and-play system allows for quick setup in minutes. The router supports data downloads at speeds of up to 3.6Gb/s on the mobile network and offers a stable wireless connection for dozens of devices simultaneously. The modern 4nm chip with 5G-A network compatibility supports stable network operation even during peak hours.

Wi-Fi 7 Connectivity
The wireless network operates on two frequency bands with a total speed of the BE3600 standard. In the 5GHz band, the transfer speed reaches up to 2,882Mb/s, and in the 2.4GHz band, it is 688Mb/s. Multi-Link Operation technology aggregates both bands to achieve lower latency and higher throughput. The router uses MU-MIMO technology to efficiently serve multiple connected devices at once without a drop in speed.
Mobile 5G Networks and AI Antenna
The device supports 5G Sub-6GHz in both NSA and SA modes with NR-CA carrier aggregation technology. An integrated AI antenna with a 10dBi gain automatically finds and maintains a strong available mobile signal. The internal directional antenna helps overcome weaker coverage in buildings, stabilising reception even behind obstacles. Users can use a classic SIM card or the modern eSIM format.
Network Security and Management
The security of transmitted data is protected by WPA2 and WPA3 encryption protocols. Network features include an integrated VPN for secure remote access and a clear LED signal strength indicator directly on the device's body. Network setup and management are made easy by the ZTE Smart Life mobile app, which offers a user-friendly interface for mobile phones. Advanced traffic management is complemented by QoS functions for service prioritisation, Virtual Server, Port Forwarding, and management of connected users via the DHCP Client List. The system supports a combination of mobile 5G connection and wired internet as a backup, so if one line fails, it automatically switches to the other route.
