Wi-Fi connectivity and speed
The system simultaneously uses two frequency bands for optimal data flow distribution. The 2.4GHz band reaches speeds of 300Mbps, which is sufficient for casual web browsing and penetrating solid obstacles. The 5GHz band provides speeds up to 867Mbps for high-throughput activities like video streaming or online gaming: 2.4GHz (300Mbps), 5GHz (867Mbps).

Xiaomi Mesh technology allows you to link up to 10 units into a single network with a shared name. Your mobile phone or tablet automatically connects to the strongest node without any connection interruption as you move between rooms. The single-pack system can reliably cover an area of up to 140m² and handle over 120* active devices at once.
*120 is the total number of devices connected to the 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and LAN network under laboratory conditions for the 2-pack and 3-pack versions.
Wireless network security
Data transmission protection meets modern standards for secure home and business connections. The device supports WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK, and the modern WPA3-SAE standard for complete protection against unauthorised access. Additionally, any changes to login details are automatically synchronised across all paired smart home accessories. Built-in connectors provide physical links to other network elements on the back of each unit. Two full gigabit ports with automatic WAN/LAN detection are available, enabling easy wired connection for desktop computers, TVs, or gaming consoles without complex manual setup.
