Tenda TEG1050F Gigabit Switch with SFP

The Tenda TEG1050F unmanaged switch is designed to expand network infrastructure in a corporate environment. It offers 48 gigabit RJ-45 ports and two SFP slots for optical connections. With a total switching capacity of 100Gb/s, it can handle high network loads. The switch supports basic network functions like QoS and Port-based VLAN for simple network segmentation. The metal 19" rack-mountable design and passive fanless cooling ensure quiet and stable operation. The device is protected by 6kV surge protection.

High port density and flexible connectivity

The Tenda TEG1050F switch is equipped with 48 gigabit RJ-45 ports with automatic speed and cable type detection (Auto-MDI/MDIX). This setup allows a large number of devices to be connected. It also includes two separate 1Gb/s SFP slots for optical connections to network backbone elements or servers over longer distances. The SFP ports are compatible with Cisco-compatible modules, which makes integration into existing infrastructure easier.

Simple network segmentation

The device offers simple network segment setup using a physical switch on the front panel. In standard mode, it functions as a regular switch where all ports communicate with each other. When switched to Port-based VLAN mode, ports 1 to 46 are isolated. These ports can only communicate with the uplink ports (47, 48, and the two SFP ports), not with each other. This setup effectively limits the spread of broadcast storms and prevents DHCP spoofing, thereby increasing network security and stability without complex configuration.

Durable construction and reliable operation

The switch is housed in a metal chassis designed for mounting in a 19" data cabinet. Thanks to its fanless design, its operation is completely silent, making it suitable even for office environments. A key feature is the integrated 6kV surge protection, which protects both the data ports and the power circuits. The device is also protected against electrostatic discharge (ESD) up to ±10kV (air) and ±8kV (contact), contributing to its long-term stability.
