The Tenda OS3 outdoor Wi-Fi wireless CPE unit supports multiple operating modes, expanding its range of applications. It operates in the 5 GHz band and supports 802.11a/n/ac standards and a maximum speed of 867 Mbps. It includes four 10/100Mbit LAN ports and supports passive PoE power supply. In addition, it can be powered using a conventional power adapter (both the power switch and the adapter are included). Tenda OS3 is equipped with a dual-polarized antenna with 12 dBi gain. It offers a maximum range of 5 km and supports both Point to Point and Point to MultiPoint topologies. Other technologies include VPN Pass-Through, SSID Isolation, DDNS, DHCP, Transparent Bridge and VLAN tagging SSID.

Security and durability

Tenda OS3 works with many types of security, which include 64/128 WEP, WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK, WPA&WPA2-PSK, WPA and WPA2. It offers the ability to disable the wireless network name (SSID), VLANs for individual SSIDs, output power settings, and supports a variety of other features. The chassis is waterproof to IP65 standard, making it suitable for outdoor environments.

6 operating modes available

• Access Point - The OS3 is connected to the network using an Ethernet cable and transmits wireless network.
• Station - OS3 connects to a WiFi network and provides connectivity for its LAN port to connect another device via cable. The Wi-Fi network is no longer broadcasting.
• WISP (client + router) - OS3 connects to the WiFi network (WISP station/hotspot), separates the provider's network from the local network by routing, and creates a home WiFi network with its own DHCP server. It also shares this local connectivity to its LAN port.
• P2MP (Point To MultiPoint) - one OS3 station communicates with several other stations in different locations, also called PMP, PtMP.
• WDS Repeater (Wireless Distribution System Repeater) - repeating WiFi signal in WDS system, the first router or AP is set in WDS repeat mode, Tenda OS3 connects to this device in the same mode.
• Router - standard router with DHCP server support.
