The Tenda i29 access point is a dual-band device with Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) support, operating in the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands with a total transfer speed of up to 2976Mbps. This indoor device, with a Long Range transmission power of 29 +/- 1.5dBm, provides reliable coverage for large spaces in both business and home environments. It offers advanced networking technologies for smooth wireless operation, efficient management of multiple users simultaneously, and quick setup using the Quick Setup function. The device, featuring a circular design with a diameter of 251mm and a height of 55mm, includes a practical hidden bracket for easy wall or ceiling mounting.

Wi-Fi connectivity and speed
The access point uses modern 802.11ax/ac/a/b/g/n wireless standards for stable signal propagation in both frequency bands. The combined transfer speed reaches up to 2976Mbps, offering speeds of up to 574Mbps in the 2.4GHz band and up to 2402Mbps in the 5GHz band. Integrated 2×2 MU-MIMO and OFDMA technologies increase the throughput of the entire wireless network when communicating with multiple client devices at once. Additionally, the Beamforming function directs the transmission power straight to the connected receivers. The device is equipped with four integrated antennas with a gain of 4dBi.
Mesh technology and coverage
The device supports Fast Roaming technology with 802.11 k/v/r protocols, which lets client devices move seamlessly between access points without dropouts or connection interruptions. The access point serves up to 254 simultaneously connected clients, meeting the demanding requirements of business operations. Compatibility with the OneMesh system makes it easy to create a unified wireless network under a single name to cover large areas.
Wireless network security
Data protection is ensured by a wide range of encryption standards, including WPA3-SAE, WEP 128bit, WPA, WPA2, and WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK variants. Network security is further enhanced by the ability to create up to 11 separate SSIDs (7 in the 2.4GHz band and 4 in the 5GHz band), for which individual security parameters and VLAN mapping can be configured. Advanced features like client device isolation and physical MAC address filtering are also available to prevent access by unauthorised persons.
Connector options
The access point's connectivity is provided by two Gigabit LAN ports with speeds of 10/100/1000Mbps, which serve for reliable wired connection to the network infrastructure. One of the ports supports active PoE power according to the 802.3at (PoE+) standard, simplifying installation without the need for a separate power cable.
