With the convenient audio and power interface provided by Sony cameras equipped with an MI shoe, you can enjoy the benefits of cable-free shooting. A wide range of cameras and other devices can be connected to the ECM-W2BT microphone's receiver. The receiver can be connected via a 3.5mm stereo mini-jack to devices such as computers and digital voice recorders that have an audio input but are not equipped with an MI shoe.
Small size, lightweight design and flexible options
The compact size of the Sony ECM-W2BT microphone is ideal for shooting outdoors. Weighing just 27 grams for the microphone unit (transmitter) and 28 grams for the receiver, the microphone won't weigh you down while shooting. The microphone has three sound pickup modes, which you can select depending on the environment.

When using the Sony ECM-W2BT with a camera that supports power via the MI shoe, you'll be able to shoot wirelessly for up to 9 hours. When used with cameras that do not support MI shoe power, the receiver's battery life is reduced to about three hours.
